Metro Health will not merge with Tennessee company
WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — It has been in the works for almost two years now, but late Monday afternoon, 24 Hour News 8 confirmed Metro Health is not merging with a for-profit hospital. At the beginning of the year, Metro Health announced a deal with Tennessee-based Community Health Systems. Community Health Systems was slated to get an 80 percent stake with the remaining 20 percent staying with Metro Health.
