Body of fisherman, father, friend pulled from Thornapple River
CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Sunday was fishing day for Nijaz Mulac of Kentwood and his 14-year-old son, who were looking forward to fishing in the Alaska area, according to a longtime friend of the family. But Sunday was the first time the pair and a family friend fished the Thornapple River near 68th Street SE. Just after 10:30 a.m., police say Mulac slipped and fell into what was likely a deep pocket in the river. The 45-year-old man was swept under the current.
