‘Operation Handshake’ welcomes veterans home
CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A group gathered at Gerald R. Ford International Airport on Wednesday to welcome veterans returning home for the holidays. A number of people — including Patriot Guard Riders, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls, Blue Star Mothers, and others — participated in ‘Operation Handshake’ at the Grand Rapids-area airport on the busiest travel day of the year.
