Problem Solvers: Power outages plagued neighborhood long before tornado
PORTLAND, Mich. — It’s been more than two weeks since an E-F1 tornado caused millions of dollars in damage to the city of Portland. Gov. Rick Snyder declared the community a state of disaster, which means funding will be available to help Portland’s recovery process. It’s not just the debris and cleanup efforts causing people strain. Power outages that have actually been going on since long before the tornado struck are causing a major headache for some.
