MSP, MDOT to release I-94 audit to lawmakers after pileup
LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Police and transportation officials are expected to release their findings from a Road Safety Audit following the 193-vehicle pileup last January. The Michigan Department of Transportation and Michigan State Police will present the I-94 audit to lawmakers in Lansing around 11 a.m. Monday. State officials ordered the audit last February after Sen. Margaret O’Brien petitioned Gov. Rick Snyder to request the administration and MDOT to coordinate to complete a study on the eastbound section of I-94 near Galesburg, where the crash occurred, and offer recommendations...
