Montcalm Co. infant dies of suspected bacterial infection
STANTON, Mich. (WOOD) – An infant in Montcalm County may have died due to complications of Haemophilus influenza type b Meningitis, according to the Mid-Michigan District Health Department. The Mid-Michigan District Health Department has not released the name of the one-year-old infant due to privacy reasons, but they are asking parents if their children may have had contact with the child to call your doctor immediately. Haemophilus influenza is a bacterium that can cause a severe infection, occurring mostly in infants and children younger than five years of age....
