LinkedIn to pay $13M in spam suit settlement
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One of the largest social media companies on the Internet will pay its users to settle a lawsuit over spam. LinkedIn has agreed to shell out $13 million to settle the 2013 suit regarding the site’s “add connections” feature. Some site members were upset that address book contacts they had requested to connect with had received multiple reminder emails.
