KDPS sergeant battling breast cancer passes away
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – After battling breast cancer for several years, a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety sergeant has passed away, according to KDPS. Sgt. Lisa Zuk served as a member of KDPS for 14 and a half years, including the positions of public safety officer, K9 handler, recruiter and field training officer in addition to sergeant, the KDPS release said. The department said Zuk had an “infectious attitude” and a “fighting spirit” during her time serving Kalamazoo’s Edison neighborhood – a gift she had left with her co-workers....
