KCHD: 30 in Rockford football program likely have ‘Crypto’
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Kent County Health Department officials say it’s likely 30 people associated with Rockford High School’s varsity football program have Cryptosporidiosis – or Crypto, after two people tested positive for the gastrointestinal illness, a KCHD release said. Lab results Friday showed a second person had tested positive for the diarrheal disease, which is caused by a microscopic parasite, according to health officials.
