Inspectors find ‘skimmer’ at GR gas station
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — State inspectors have found an electronic skimming device inside a gas pump at a Grand Rapids gas station. Inspectors with the Michigan Department of Agriculture’s Weights and Measures Division found the skimmer Thursday morning inside a pump at the Admiral gas station on Kalamazoo Avenue north of 44th Street in Grand Rapids. The devices are used to steal credit card information from customers. Once a card is swiped, the device sends the information to a computer or mobile device of a crook hiding nearby....
