Explorer program teaches teens about policing
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — With wide eyes and anticipation, a group of 25 young adults got their first taste on Wednesday of what life is like as a Grand Rapids police officer. The group was introduced as the inaugural class of the Grand Rapids Police Department’s Explorer Post #1871. “We’re a big enough department to have our own, no doubt,” GRPD Chief David Rahinsky said.
