Caledonia mother loses battle with rare cancer
CALEDONIA, Mich. (WOOD) — A wife and mother from Caledonia who had been battling cancer along with her husband died on Sunday. Shelby Offrink was diagnosed with inoperable intramedullary glioblastoma, a form of cancer in her spine and brain, in March 2014. About six months after her diagnosis, her husband Ben learned he had Hodgkins lymphoma for the third time. He’d gone into remission 20 years earlier.
