Annual Turkey Trot takes over downtown Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Hundreds of runners and walkers took to the streets of downtown Grand Rapids on Thanksgiving morning for the 23rd annual Turkey Trot 5K. The race benefits Grand Rapids Public Schools’ athletic program. Kurt Johnson, the executive director for K-12 athletics at Grand Rapids Public Schools said more than 6,000 students in grades K through 12 participate in athletics.
