AAA: Increase of deadly teen driving crashes in summer
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A new study by AAA shows some concerning statistics when it comes to teen drivers in the summer. The study, which analyzed police reports from 1994 to 2013, shows a 43 percent increase of deadly crashes involving teens during the summer months. Nearly two-thirds of people injured or killed in a crash involving a teen driver are people other than the teen behind the wheel.
