Bob Evans "Down on the Farm" founded the Bob Evans chain of restaurants with other family members in 1953. Bob Evans remained president of the company until 1986.

Bob Evan’s legacy of sausage, and old fashioned breakfasts began in Ohio where Evans made his now famous pork sausage out of his 12 stool truck-stop diner. From that truck stop, what is now known as Bob Evans Farms has grown to hold 579 full service restaurants in 18 states.
