I personaly think the animals could have been taken care of way better. They had sores on them(most of them).I saw a few animals that were trying to eat stuff threw the fences of where they were being kept. One of the mountain lions looked as though it was bleeding and they started to fight. The staff was completely rude and they acted as though they didnt want to be around people(if they want to work in a public place they should have to be good with people and they were not at all).I feel if you guys are gonna show the zoo you shouldnt mistreat the animals and it doesnt matter if you feed and water them cause thats not all they need try a little tlc truthfully.Dont get me wrong it hasnt always been this way ive lived in grand rapids my whole life and ive been to the zoo lots and lots of times this time was by far the worse visit Ive ever experienced. Also i seen a man put a toddler over the fence of one of the exhibits.I would not recomend the zoo to anybody this year(2011).signed proudly kimberly! -
